Innocence inspires the imagination within us…

Kids are the epitome of beauty in purity. They reflect the true spirit of nature and their natural expression expounds human relationships. It is always a great feeling to play with children and engage with their boundless energy and joyful expressions. But with babies, yet to learn the art of communication makes the expression through their faces simply igniting. You are inspired. It is so tantalizing to capture and preserve these defining expressions, but it is the most difficult task.
They are tentative, they are slippery, they are carefree and they are constantly generating wonderful expressions…every moment and every move are defining. It was a purposeful walk through the streets, and I was with my extended lens and my eyes were scanning the flow of people on the streets, and the moment I saw her, mind ceased to think further and it was then the job of my hand to act and acquire the expressive face into my lens.
I took the permission from her mother and I was putting my best effort to engage her, but it was becoming futile, and her mother could understand my challenge and she did put her authority and affection to play for her to pose.
It was not the case of just one baby that I encountered and my task was done, as I walked further I met one more baby and it was difficult to differentiate their expressions. I had to stop and repeat the process of obtaining the permission and then exercise the camera in order, and she was no different.
In fact she was more vibrant and vociferous in her manifestations of her feelings…I was confused, should I capture or should I cherish, I was in catch-22, her expressions which barely could hold onto my camera…but the innocence play of both the babies were imprinted in my mind and yes, I managed to hold onto my eyes of lens.
It was interesting learning that children photography is a challenging conundrum. I did realize that capturing the baby’s playful face is not a child’s play…
